Was the most amazing day ever. It started with a 5am rise and leaving at half past to get to the train station. I have 2 changes, had 3 trains in 3 hours so got into Axminster round 9am where I got a taxi to the River Cottage car park. I waited around with the other people attending the course, all averaging out at about their mid 40’s! I was the youngest there bar one 16 year old girl there with her mum!

We then took this converted tractor down to the Cookery School. We went past pens with pigs in, ducks, chickens, the famous River Cottage itself and then behind to the school. Inside was beautiful, there were work tops set up with the ingredients for our first dish, a kitchen area for the chefs to prep out ingredients and the dining room.

We were greeted with tea, coffe and freshly made Walnut and Maple Drop scones which I could have wolfed down 3 or 4 I was so hungry! But only had one >.< Anyway, we then met our teacher, Gill the head chef there and got on with our first dish.
The views from the school were amazing! If only there wasn’t as much fog!

All the food we made we ate. We made a mid day small snack, bread and a 3 course meal for lunch/dinner! We ate our the 3 course dinner outside because even though the weather was crummy, it was still warm :)

The day was the most amazing day ever!!! I’m going to post the dishes I made in separate posts but I can not begin to explain how perfect it was. I loved it so much and wish I could live there! Oh yeah and we got given a book at the end, well we had a choice of a ton of river cottage books!
