So a while ago some of you might have remembered I emailed Rachel Khoo about asking for Work Experience and she replied saying she didn’t offer it but if I wanted to work in food or was considering it, to try and get some experience in it.
At my last job I really wanted some experience in the kitchen but before I could ask we closed down suddenly. However, since being at my new job I’ve wanted to make this a priority to at least ask about it! I had some training a week or so ago for about an hour until I was pulled out to work in the aquarium shop. This week though I have worked 2 full days in the kitchen so far and I have loved it! I know it’s only a little cafe, we don’t serve a lot of food, things like Jacket Potatoes, burgers, chips, sandwiches and bageuttes, but I really am enjoying it and learning a lot! I hope I can continue to work in there more during the summer to gain as much experience as I can!
