Once I get myself another job
I am saving up for more cooking courses. I loved my day at river cottage and never wanted it to end. I think I might join a cookery course closer to me. But first! I must find a job and save my pennies!
I can’t remember if I wrote about this, I don’t think I did, but the cafe I worked at as a waitress closed down on sunday with no notice so as soon as I woke up on monday I printed off...

Was going to have Bruschetta tonight for dinner after the gym but I’m trying to watch the amount of carbs I’m eating at the moment and I’ve had quite a bit today, not too much but shouldn’t have too much for dinner! Gonna have an omelette inside with a side salad omnomnom

Bournemouth Food and Drink Festival
Today was the first day of the Food Fair in Bournemouth town center! I thought it would be like the international food fair that they sometimes have with loads of different patisserie and stands where you can buy international produce. This food fair was more of the Bournemouth restaurants selling food and British companies selling food such as the Pie Minster from Bristol. Whilst I was there I...

River Cottage
Was the most amazing day ever. It started with a 5am rise and leaving at half past to get to the train station. I have 2 changes, had 3 trains in 3 hours so got into Axminster round 9am where I got a taxi to the River Cottage car park. I waited around with the other people attending the course, all averaging out at about their mid 40’s! I was the youngest there bar one 16 year old girl there...

I know my last post was about it but...
Next time I’ll be online I will have completed a day at river cottage. I know it wont be an offical ‘qualifacation’ or something, but it will be experience in food in my eyes. After this one day course, it will help me decide if I want to go on a 6 week evening cookery course. I want to try and learn more skills and develop my range in areas I can work which I’m actually...

I literally cannot explain how amazing the smell of shallots are when they have been slowly cooked down to the point of translucency, adding a splash of white wine and letting it bubble away and finally, adding a squeeze of lemon juice. The smell is one of those which takes you back to perfect flavours you’ve once tried before and each component of the smell unlocks an old memory of a dish...

boo-belford replied to your post: Low Carbs
My friend taught me a similar idea for a low carb pizza…you make the base of the pizza by boiling up caulifower then mashing it, mixing with egg and, and you can add a bit of cheese as well, then baking it. Its delicious!
Oh my word that sounds so yummy! If I hadn’t just used up my mozzarella in an omelette I would have totally made that for my...

Low Carbs
My boyfriend has been talking to me recently about eating less carbs and when I snapped off a bit of bread today from the Monkey Loaf I made to snack on earlier, he grabbed it from my hands and threw it out the door. (It was pretty hilarious because it took him like 4 attempts to throw it out the door). But anyway! I was thinking that I do eat quite a lot of unnecessary carbs so looked on the...

Spinach Tostada
I really should have taken a photo of this but today I met up with one of my friends for lunch and was later joined by another chum. I ordered a Tostada which was like toasted crunchy bread coated in sesame seeds and drizzled with olive oil. It had this gorgeous tomato spread on the bottom layer then topped with spinach and tomatoes. It was delicious, there was 4 large pieces which was lovely! It...

Thinking about taking an evening Cookery Course at Bournemouth and Poole College. I was worried I wouldn’t be able to have time to do it seeing as I do a full time BA Photography course but I found out it’s not every day it’s once a week, every Thursday evening for 6 weeks.
I’m very tempted but I think I’m going to go on my one day Cookery Course at River Cottage at...

Me and Ryan went out for dinner tonight and we were so food drunk that we had to come back to mine and lay down in the lounge. We had a sofa each and quietly let our food go down. It was horrible. I love food so much

Leftover Dinner
Since finishing uni, I’ve had to watch what I spend a lot more due to lack of Student Loan income! Every time I go for a shop I keep thinking to myself, maybe I could put it off for another day or so. That’s exactly what I thought today. I have a leek in the fridge which I need to use and was looking around the Internet for recipes to use it in. Instead I’ve decided to stick with...
